I had trouble securing a reservation for a Wednesday night after receiving a bit of lip from the person on the other end. Not that she was rude, but she spoke very directly, and tried to assure me that there was not much available, yet she would do the best in her power to get me the table for 8 by the window as I requested. She practically assured me it would be available and that she was in the process of making it so.
Upon entering, we noticed the place was nearly empty and that we were seats open and at separate tables by the window in which we were seated close to, but not at, the window. She had done nothing to make me happy and I feel that I wasted my time on that 10 minute phone call.
When it came to the food, we ate very well! I had the most amazing seared lamb loin stuffed with fois gras, that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I pounded back one very dry glass of red wine and a B52.
I was given an award for 'Best Dance' in a competition that I tried out for, and wanted to take my mentors and students along with me for a celebratory dinner. Yes, we are a small but tight bunch.
I never spend this much or indulged the way I did this past Wednesday, which makes it hard for me to say I will never return, but the food was quite good and they treated us well during dinner. Very well in fact, but don't lie, and never lead you client to believe you can do something (and will do something), yet never follow through.
