Great spot for private parties in a good location. The view from the patio is quite good! So, the night started early for me because I had to be there to set up my gear. I was hired to DJ for a special event. They fed me early on which was great, and the owner helped me lug my equipment upstairs. I think he realizes the imposition all those stairs cause the average musician! We got along great though and everyone there was very helpful to me. Everything I needed was conveniently located within the "stage" area and it was not a significant distance from the outlets! That's important to us. The upstairs looks nothing like the downstairs, you can really tell they were going for two quite different looks and moods. They really accomplished that well upstairs.
Excited about the IPads!

Its the Information Age, or rather the Age of Technology! Very impressive table-side IPads, with the extensive wine list uploaded inside. I was shocked to have read about them in the paper, but more shocked when I arrived. This was what I looked at first upon sitting! The "wife" and I enjoyed a very simple, low-luxury dinner, for our 2 month anniversary. We randomly chose a number each and picked our bottle of red wine. I said "3", and she said "7", so, page 3, 7nth down the list, and that was it. I have no recollection of what it was, unfortunately, but we remember it was a good choice. For dinner we shared a chicken salad to start with peanut sauce, and we also shared the main which was a 12oz dry aged New York strip. The problem with sharing meat with a Woman, is that she will always eat her meat "Overcooked". I like my meat to be cooked "Medium", and I was not about to eat a dry steak. We agreed to come to a middle ground and have it 1 minute after "Medium-well". This worked out great for the both of us and actually brought us closer, because this almost turned into a big dispute. Very nice, modern decor inside, and it felt rather cozy. Great atmosphere as well and the service was quite good. They accommodated us well during our little "almost" dispute, helping us to resolve it properly.

Really cool gentleman helped me pick out what to eat before my gig in Gay Village this last weekend. He showed me the menu and hooked me up! I liked the quality of service more than the food, but even the food was good to. Most of all, it was fresh! This place was dead when I entered, and nearly rammed when I left because of his quick flip-rate in customers. Very fast service, quality and freshness with a smile. I'll be coming back for another Turkey BLT combo with a drink and chips. It only cost me about $7.50, awesome deal.

I waited 30 minutes for a table... and another 20 for die hard sushi. Yes! Worth it! You know its fresh when theres a line out the front door. You also know theres a demand for their product and their quality. I don't sudgest you eat here if your expecting prompt service and quick food, unless you catch them at an awkward time like before they open or after they close. They are always busy! Well worth the wait!

... and they eat at Houston Steaks and Ribs! I was here 3 weeks ago and also last night, and both times the service was the same person, by fluke. She remembered me! We made some small talk, and placed my order. Very friendly girl! Red wine and a hefty, peppery slab of beef, just doesn't go down the same when you make it at home. Naturally, I ate with a friend this last visit, and I tell ya, they must have a secret for the flavor!!! Maybe I didn't try everything on the menu, but if you can grille a peppercorn steak, and serve it hot (or rather steamy) the way it came just asking for digestion, you deserve a pat on the back. Before being a DJ, I cooked, but not like this. Koodos!
