Just got back from being down at the Waterfront in Toronto. Decided to go to Watermark since it looked like it had a really nice patio!...it does! had to wait at the hostess counter staring at them for 10 minutes before they would look up at the growing crowd and acknowledge everyone. They actually walked away and to the counter facing the ground. They eventually said they were really busy. Tables outside were empty and not cleaned by the looks of it. We decided to wait the expected 20 minutes to be seated. We enjoyed the bar outside. Sat down at 2PM and ordered food promptly since we had our menus while waiting at the bar. Drinks were promptly delivered around 2:05pm. Waiter came back at 2:20 and asked if we wanted more drinks. My glass was half full. I ordered the second round anyhow. 2:40 no sign of waiter. 2:50 we ask where food is. He says they are really busy and its on its way. 2:55. Waiter comes back and says we are 6 in line for our food to be prepared. 2:56 we cancel food order since it was not made. 3:05 Waiter comes out with food and said that this was due to his incredible pull in the kitchen....He should have done that 30 minutes ago. We decline the food and ask for the bill for our drinks. 3:15 waiter comes back and suggest that it was to bad that we were in such a hurry. We ordered 2 hamburgers and a salad. It should not have taken 1 hour. and he should have never suggested that we were in such a rush! He should have been rushing! No sign of a manager through all of this either. Poor staff attitude to customers and poor management. This will affect any though I have of going to Pourhouse/Foggy Dew/Ned Devines any longer ...which I did do on a regular basis.
