My first experience here was during an event I was asked to come to. Walking in that night, the first thing I did was look up at the gargantuan height of the ceiling! I looked around a bit before joining my friends, and it seemed like a great spot to lounge in and be seen. Lots of places in Toronto now seem to want concrete or wooden floors, with the pipes exposed and the halogen bulbs (the industrial look). I'd say that with the kind of seating they offer and the colors inside, they've done a great job at keeping it interesting for the clubber and the dinner. On my second experience, I gathered a taste for the food. All I'd really like to say is that their chef knows how to cook, and he satisfied my taste's. I enjoyed a Village Salad with Chicken and Shrimp (I was rather hungry). The salt was light, and there was just enough dressing for it to be called dressing. It was not swimming. I had a glass of house red (I do not remember what it was) with my meal, and upon getting my bill it was about 30 with taxes and tip. I was a happy man.
