I went with my girlfriend here on Valentines Day. There was romantic music playing in the background, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, a beautiful natural brick wall, a candle-lit table and an overall nice atmosphere that reminded me of being in a restaurant in Paris.
They had an excellent choice of both red and white wines. We had a bottle of Bliss, a cabernet sauvignon which had a nice blackberry flavour.
To start I had their Absolute soup which was a roasted red pepper and Prawn bisque and my gf had the corn and crab bisque which were both filled with mouth watering goodness.
For the main I had the lamb shank which was served with a mushroom risotto, and vegetables. The lamb shank was the best I`d ever had. It was tender and effortlessly fell from the bone. My girlfriend had the lobster special which was elegantly presented and served with asparagus risotto and vegetables. Again probably the best she'd ever had!
For dessert we had a slice of their bumbleberry pie topped with vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect treat to end a perfect night.
The service excellent and the atmosphere very calm and peaceful. The chef made rounds and greeted the customers to see how they were doing. Overall we had a very nice time and I would greatly recommend this place for any special occasion or even just dinner with the family. It's been a while since my last visit and I hear they now also have a beautiful patio.
